Pinavera Site: June 2004–present. Co-director with Prof. C. Reid Ferring, University of North Texas , Denton , TX . Interdisciplinary excavation and analysis of the first stratified, open-air Middle–Upper Palaeolithic locality in the southern Caucasus . At present the site contains six in situ archaeological horizons dating to the late Middle and early Upper Pleistocene, representing discrete occupation events.
The Mashavera Gorge Palaeolithic Project: June 2003–present. Co-director with Prof. C. Reid Ferring, University of North Texas , Denton , TX . This project investigates the open-air component of Middle and Upper Palaeolithic mobility and land use via survey, GIS, excavation, zooarchaeology, lithic analysis, and chronometric dating.
Ortvale Klde Rockshelter: 1997–present. Middle–Upper Palaeolithic rockshelter, Georgian Republic . Co-director with Dr. N. Tushabramishvili, Georgian State Museum , Tbilisi , Georgian Republic . The project focuses on the excavation and dating of eight Upper–Middle Palaeolithic layers as part of a long-term project geared toward the dating and documentation of the Middle–Upper Palaeolithic occupation of Georgia .
Bronze Cave Dating Program: 2000–present. Middle–Upper Palaeolithic cave and rockshelter complex, Georgian Republic . Director of project. This project focuses on the TL and AMS dating of Bronze Cave as part of a long-term project geared toward the dating and documentation of the Middle–Upper Palaeolithic occupation of Georgia .
Wallertheim Research Project: 1992–present. Middle Palaeolithic open-air site in the Rhine Valley, Germany. Directed by Prof. N. J. Conard, Universität Tübingen, Institut für Ur- und Frühgeschichte , Germany .

Gabunia, Georgian Archaeological Centre, Tbilisi , Georgian Republic . The field project consisted of the excavation and zooarchaeological and taphonomic analysis of palaeontological material.
